My Role as a Professional School Counselor:

My role as a School Counselor here at the American Academy of Innovation is to provide exceptional resources, guidance, and service to all AAI students and stakeholders. I will advocate for students to equip them with the tools they need in order to excel in academics, career aspirations, and to grow and development into the best human beings they can be! As a professional, I am qualified to work with students in a variety of mediums, including the classroom, one-on-one counseling, group counseling, peer mediation, and crisis response services. Individual sessions may range up to 30 minutes. Group sessions may range up to 60 minutes. Classroom guidance lessons may range up to 50 minutes (one class period).


Counseling Philosophy & Services:

My overall goal as a School Counselor is to help students to be creative, healthy, ambitious, happy, and compassionate individuals to achieve their dreams and to make the world a better place. I will offer a comprehensive developmental school counseling program, which will include the domains of academic, career, and personal/social development. As part of my work exists in the realm of psychological well-being, I approach serious, real topics like depression, anxiety, and divorce with kindness, genuine interest, support, and gentleness in order to provide a safe space for students to share their experiences and feelings in order to grow and heal the best that they can. I will also conduct guidance lessons including study skills, time management, stress reduction, coping skills, and I will promote confidence and self-respect as a means of achieving academic and career success. I will also adamantly work with all stakeholders involved in seeing students realize their goals and achieve the highest levels of their potential.
