Exciting changes at AAI

We’re pleased to announce that German Lopez, the founder and visionary behind the American Academy of Innovation, has taken the role of Strategy Director at the school. In this role, Mr. Lopez will be positioned to drive the strategic vision of AAI — managing our many university partnerships, cross-curriculum training, the AAI Leadership Program, and many other initiatives. We’re excited to have Mr. Lopez in this role as he enables our teachers and staff to provide the highest quality of education to our students, and deliver on the expectations of AAI.
In light of this new role for Mr. Lopez, we are also pleased to announce that Scott Jones has been appointed as the new Director of the American Academy of Innovation. Mr. Jones has a 17-year track record of success in charter school administration, and is an innovative, forward thinking leader in business and education. He joins AAI most recently from Charter Solutions, where he worked as a business management consultant for up and coming charter schools.
We’re thrilled to add Scott Jones to the AAI team, and we look forward to working with him as he works alongside German Lopez to build an amazing school.
The American Academy of Innovation (AAI) is a new public charter school, serving grades 6 to 12 located in South Jordan, Utah. AAI combines academic rigor with career technology skills and international partnerships to prepare students for success in a global marketplace. Students are prepared through instruction using project-based learning, participation in mentoring projects with international university partners, and continuous enrollment in career and technological education classes.
